Background

Every year the TCU V-Day Campaign presents a benefit production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues as well as V-Week, a week of educational events and social programming to promote ending violence against women globally. Through ticket and merchandise sales, V-Day has been able to raise around $3,500 each year. 10% of this money is sent to V-Day to be donated to organizations supporting the annual spotlight, and the rest is donated to a local beneficiary (The Tarrant County Women's Center and SafeHaven of Tarrant County alternate as the local beneficiary of the TCU V-Day Campaign). Past spotlights have included The Women of New Orleans, Women in Conflict Zones, Justice to 'Comfort Women,' and Native American and First Nations Women.
